My research focuses on technology and decoloniality, and is developed via two interconnected research lines. Both trajectories aim at decentring Western and Eurocentric epistemologies, and at broadening knowledge production from pluriversal perspectives.

Decolonial Computation
My first research trajectory focuses on decolonial computation, and studies alternative histories of technologies via women, people of colour, and indigenous cultures. I am interested in reimagining computation through pluriversal politics, and values and ethics stemming from non-Western cultures and indigenous cosmologies. The work is informed through my ongoing research on technology and spirituality, in conversation with various technology x art x culture institutions in the Netherlands, and my collaboration with George Fletcher (Professor of Computer Science, Database Group, Data and Artificial Intelligence Cluster, TU Eindhoven).

This project will culminate in a public symposium funded by the KNAW Early Career Partnerships Grant in May 2027.

inter-Asia Performance Studies
The second trajectory focuses on dance (as a technology of transmission) and performance studies in the inter-Asian context, and is situated in my research and dramaturgical practice. The work is informed by the archipelagic method by Martinique/ Caribbean philosopher Édouard Glissant, worlding through encounter and relationality, as well as the decolonial, deimperialist imperative and inter-referential mode of inter-Asia Cultural Studies. This trajectory is developed through my ongoing artistic research with independent artist Alysa Leung (If Time’s Limited), and my collaboration in Performance Studies international with co-convenors of the iAPS WG (Dennis Gupa, Soo Ryon Yoon, Chari Arespacochaga, wen yau).
- Working Group: inter-Asia Performance Studies (iAPS)
- Platform: inter-Asia Dance Dramaturgy Platform

This project will be further developed in Jan-April 2027, during my appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lingnan University (Hong Kong). I will also be co-hosting the first event in the inter-Asia Dance Dramaturgy Platform, supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, in April 2027.
